Addressing this pressing need requires collaboration, partnership, and thoughtful planning by multiple stakeholders. This participatory gathering of workforce development leaders, industry experts, government officials, and others will engage on topics such as training needs, current and future programs, research activities, and understanding regional and national workforce issues.

Now in its 18th year, the Waterfront Conference continues to be the premier forum for discussion, collaboration, and innovative strategy development for the New York-New Jersey region and the nation at large. More than 600 participants, including policymakers, community leaders, scientists, engineers, architects, academics, and environmental advocates, as well as professionals from labor, real estate, insurance, and financial services will take part. The conference features several events on maritime activities and wind energy generation, including a networking event for offshore wind industry professionals.

This project was initiated from the observation that no good and generically applicable design formulae and guidelines exist to protect offshore structures against scour. Instead, there are various existing methods and concepts that lack a sound basis for design. Different parties apply different solutions against scour around the support structure with varying degrees of success.
