Westchester & Putnam Construction Craft Laborers, Local Union #60 offers a mix of classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job training, equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry.
Apprentices receive training in basic construction math, blue print reading, concrete finishing, confined space awareness, confined space entry, hazardous communication, hoisting, rigging, OSHA Construction Safety & Health, and piping systems. These skills support the construction, maintenance, safety, piping, and general asset management of offshore wind projects.
Graduates become qualified journey-persons, prepared for long term careers that may support offshore wind infrastructure development.
