Training Facilities
The Pre-Engineering Career & Technical Education (CTE) program at Staten Island Technical High School equips Grade 9 through 12 students with college and career readiness and skills. These programs provide a robust STEM curriculum with many opportunities and resources for students to engage in, and are supported by Work-Based Learning opportunities, mentorship programs, and internship opportunities. Additionally, Staten Island Technical High School offers AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and CompTIA software certification exams.
Graduates of the program are prepared for roles in the offshore wind industry such as CAD and design support for turbine components and substations, pre-engineering aides assisting with grid connection and transmission projects, and entry-level technicians contributing to the planning, modeling, and maintenance of offshore wind infrastructure.
