Roofers and Waterproofers Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JATC) Local Union #241 offers a mix of classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job training. Apprentices develop expertise in modern roofing and waterproofing systems through hands-on experience with installation techniques, safety protocols for working at heights and in hazardous environments, material handling, and technical knowledge of low-slope & steep-slope, and specialized waterproofing systems. Through this training, apprentices build foundational skills in construction, tool use, and workplace safety that are directly applicable to the offshore wind industry.
