The North Atlantic States Carpenters Training Fund offers a mix of classroom instruction and on-the-job training, equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry. Apprentices gain expertise in cabinetmaking, commercial and residential carpentry, floorcovering, pile driving, and mill cabinetry. Additionally, journeyworkers have access to continuing education programs, such as construction supervision, site safety, estimation, first aid and CPR, foreman training, welding, OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certifications, and operating power industrial trucks. These skills are essential for various roles in offshore wind projects, such as construction supervision, welding, assembly and fabrication, construction laborers, and heavy truck drivers.
