New Jersey Construction Craft Laborers' Apprenticeship Program

Apprenticeships

New Jersey Construction Craft Laborers’ Apprenticeship Program (NJCCLAP) offers a mix of paid, on-the-job training and classroom instruction, preparing apprentices for careers in construction trades that support offshore wind infrastructure. Over the course of 4,000 hours of hands-on training and 400 hours of classroom learning, apprentices gain expertise in building and highway construction, utility and energy infrastructure, demolition, and environmental remediation. These skills are critical for site preparation, cable trenching, and other components of offshore wind projects. The program is affiliated with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), providing a direct pathway to long-term union careers in the clean energy economy.
