Mildred Elley-New York Campus offers academic programs preparing students for careers in the offshore wind industry. With programs in accounting, legal studies, and business administration, the campus equips students with essential knowledge and skills to excel in roles such as financial management, legal compliance, and business leadership within renewable energy projects.
The Accounting Program, available as an Associate in Occupational Studies (AOS) degree, focuses on financial planning, cost management, and auditing. These competencies are critical for managing the financial intricacies of offshore wind projects, such as budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with industry regulations. Graduates are prepared to contribute to the fiscal sustainability and operational efficiency of large-scale renewable energy initiatives.
The Legal Studies Program, also offered as an AOS degree, provides students with a strong foundation in legal principles and regulatory compliance. This training is particularly relevant to the offshore wind projects, which require navigating environmental and zoning laws, as well as compliance with industry regulations. Graduates are equipped to assist in contract negotiations, regulatory reviews, and ensuring that projects meet legal standards throughout their development and operation
The Business Management Program, available as an AOS degree, emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and operational management. Students develop the skills needed to coordinate offshore wind projects, oversee business operations, and drive organizational success. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, graduates are well-suited for roles in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement within the renewable energy industry.
