Apprenticeships

Laborers' International Union of North America Local 1010 offers a mix of classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job training, equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry.

Apprentices receive training  in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), construction safety, rigging, permit-required confined space entry, and hazardous waste operations and refresher training. These skills are directly applicable to the construction, maintenance, and safety requirements of offshore wind projects.

Graduates become qualified journey-persons, prepared for long term careers that may support offshore wind infrastructure development.

Laborers' International Union of North America Local 1010 is an active sponsor of New York State Department of Labor’s registered Local 1010 Pavers JAC.
