Apprenticeships

Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 754 offers a mix of classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job training, equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry. Apprentices complete hours of Core Skills Training including blueprint reading, job site safety, scaffold erection, hoisting and rigging, concrete flatwork,  construction material handling, asphalt work, boom and scissor lift training, fall protection, and hand-signal communication. These foundational skills are essential for offshore wind construction, ensuring safe and efficient site operations, equipment handling and structural assembly. 

LIUNA Local 754 is an active sponsor of New York State Department of Labor registered apprenticeship programs in skilled construction craft labor.
