Apprenticeships
The International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers (BAC) Local 3 NY (Ithaca Chapter) hosts a four-year apprenticeship program that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry. Apprentices gain expertise in masonry trades such as bricklaying, plastering, tile setting, and concrete work – critical skills for ensuring structural integrity, weatherproofing, and restoration in marine environments.
In addition, apprentices gain valuable training and certifications such as the International Masonry Institute Training, the American Concrete Institute (ACI) training and the International Masonry Training and Education Foundation.
International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 3 NY (Ithaca Chapter) is a New York State Department of Labor registered provider of apprenticeships for bricklayer and allied craft apprentices.
