High Rise Concrete Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of New York City
Apprenticeships
High Rise Concrete Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) of New York City offers a mix of classroom instruction and paid, on-the-job training, equipping apprentices with the skills needed to pursue careers in the offshore wind industry. Apprentices gain expertise in critical skills such as blueprint reading, formwork, post-tension concrete systems, and rigorous safety protocols, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certifications. These competencies are directly transferable to the offshore wind industry, where constructing durable, large-scale concrete foundations and platforms in challenging marine environments is essential. Graduates become qualified journey-persons, prepared for long term careers that may support offshore wind infrastructure development.
The High Rise Concrete Carpenters JATC is an active sponsor of New York State Department of Labor’s registered apprenticeship program for carpenter apprentices.
