Electrical Workers IBEW Local 164

Apprenticeships

IBEW Local 164 offers a five-year apprenticeship training program in partnership with the Bergen-Essex-Hudson Division of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), preparing participants for careers in offshore wind-related fields. The paid program includes OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications, as well as training in areas such as transformers, rigging and hoisting, and lighting systems, all of which are critical for offshore wind installations. 

Additionally, Electrical Workers IBEW Local 164 provides continuing education courses for electrical journeymen at their state of the art training center, offering opportunities to further develop their skills.
