Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Joint Administrative Committee Local Union 1 located in Queens, New York provides an apprenticeship program that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training. Apprentices gain expertise in bricklaying, stonesetting, stone tending, masonry restoration, and plastering, as well as training in cranes & derrick operations, scaffolding, site safety training (SST), and protective structures. Participants develop the skills needed for careers supporting offshore wind projects, including pre-construction design and engineering, component manufacturing, port and staging, on-site installation, or other specialized support functions. Graduates emerge as qualified journey-persons ready for long-term careers.
