American Clean Power (ACP) Association and Clean Power Institute

Training Facilities

The American Clean Power Association (ACP), a national advocacy and industry organization for clean energy in the U.S., supports workforce training through its affiliate, the Clean Power Institute. Programs such as the Certified Clean Energy Professional Program establish industry-wide standards for the skills and competencies expected of clean energy technicians. Participants can earn certification as Clean Energy Assessors for Entry-Level Wind Technicians. In addition, ACP offers micro-credentials that validate expertise in specific skills, such as electrical testing, crane operations, wind Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Mechanics. ACP also provides guidance for companies and workforce development providers to develop their own qualified electrical worker and entry-level technician training programs for clean energy projects.
